Well, might as well put it here!
It just suddenly hit me hard, just how little I have for my story other than character doodles. So I'll be doing more stuff like this for them. To uh... get ready for comic-ing them or something!
It's a zombie survival story! The dreaded "Class 4" infestation! Everyone's dead (some moreso than others) and the whole island's a wreck. And throw in some fantasy and sci fi or something.
I have a long ways to go, any crit would be helpful (=

Truth
We never were home. It only looked that way.
Wood burned black, ashes adorn the ground, hiding it, for fear of shame.
Wooden notches in doorways,
greasy handprints on walls,
may never have been there at all.
We never were safe. It only felt that way.
Rubble and ruin tempts us. Shadows reach out their fingers, offering claustrophobic embraces.
A common niche, shared by friend and foe.
When two species strive for the same space, one must go extinct.
Hunter, and hunted.
We were never friends. It only seemed that way.
Unlike the sun which rests amongst the clouds
We only have each other.
As rodents, we huddle.
An animal need for kinship and warmth,
Nothing but base instinct.
It never would be the same, that town.
Even just passing through, leaving footprints in the ash.
We left, the same as we entered, but,
The town had changed.
A lone moment of truth,
Forever preserved.

 I'm not good at critique, because I seriously have nothing to critique on orz; This is definitely interesting and has piqued my curiosity. ^___^ I can't wait to see more.  How long did it take you to paint this?-- Too crafty to be crazy, too dark to be a hero. Vice admin for ~Ouran-High-School Wow... looks pretty flippin' awesome per usual! I can't wait to your comic when it's all said and done! Real nice lighting effect with the outter edges of the pic dark and getting light towards the middle. I see Seth... ♥ (haha) The building in the middle background reminds me of Aztec ruins for some reason. I think it's the shape of the entry way. (lol) That was unimportant. Anyway, awesome job Chris! As for critic... I can't really say I have any that jump out at me. It's totally your style.
I'm not sure actually. I just know that I started around 7pm and finished around midnight, but I ate dinner in between and drew another picture too. Hmmm
 And I'm thrilled to hear that it's "piqued your curiosity" ! Thanks! (=  ... You're welcome  This is pretty impressive for that time frame. I really like the depth. Your depiction of a looming atmosphere is amazing. ^^ I really love the buildings and how isolated the characters look. Your pieces are ones to be greatly admired~ Amazing!

I love the ladder on the left LOL Heh heh yep-- ladder to escape from the zombies, but it looks like the bottom parts were wrenched out! (ohnoes!)
